Wartburg was built on the foundation of three key values that hold true to this day. We believe that in order to effectively serve our residents and the community, we are to honor the mind, body and spirit in all we do. Today, this translates to honoring the mind through workforce development, the body through campus preservation and the spirit through arts and culture.

Workforce Development - Providing the best care requires qualified and trained caregivers. There has been a significant decline in the number of qualified nursing and specialized health technicians. Wartburg is pursuing academic partnerships to support building a pipeline of skilled, highly qualified nurses and other frontline staff.

Arts and Culture - The Council for Creative Aging and Lifelong Learning recently celebrated 10 years of service both on our campus and nationally. Having been on hiatus due to COVID, Wartburg is excited to revive its Arts and Culture program through new collaborations with Sarah Lawrence College, Arts Westchester and the Pelham Art Center in order to make every day even more special for our residents.
