Resident Care Assistant – Per Diem


The Resident Care Assistant/HHA is a key player in our Resident Care Team. He or she assists our residents by performing general routine care and related duties such as bathing, grooming, and other requested support/assistance. RCAs ensure our residents receive essential social and emotional support and provide vital information on resident conditions to the nurse. The Resident Care Assistant/HHA must be able to perform all of their duties in a caring, flexible, personalized manner. A love of working with Seniors/those with Disabilities and a passion for bringing healing and hope to the lives of residents and their loved ones is a must.

Furthermore, a positive attitude and pleasant disposition is essential. The Resident Care Assistant/HHA must be able to work cooperatively with other nursing staff as well as staff from other services providing resident care. Dependability, accountability, and integrity are necessary for effective performance. Job Requirements include, High School Diploma/GED. Current NYS HHA Certification. CPR is preferred, but not required. 3 years’ experience working with a senior population.
