Recreation Transport Assistant, creates and maintains an environment conducive to the continuation and strengthening of family ties and friendships as well as the pursuit of intellectual, social and recreational interests. Additionally, the Recreation Transport Assistant strives to improve the satisfaction of the residents, family members and friends by ensuring the prompt and courteous delivery of resident services which promote independence and assist residents to maintain the activities of daily living. These services include, but are not limited to, Recreation and Transportation.
The Recreation Transport Assistant must be able to perform all of their duties in a caring, flexible, personalized manner. A love of working with Seniors/those with Disabilities and a passion for bringing healing and hope to the lives of residents and their loved ones is a must. Furthermore, a positive attitude and pleasant disposition is essential. Transport Assistants must be able to work cooperatively with other nursing staff as well as staff from other services providing resident care. Dependability, accountability, and integrity are necessary for effective performance. A New York State Driver’s License and checkable references is required.
