Reporting to the Vice President of Development and Marketing, the Development Associate is responsible for the maintenance and administration of the fundraising database, including both gifts processing management and records management. He or she will create and generate reports and ad-hoc queries to meet the information needs of the department. This position will ensure quality control of information and the management of that information and train end-users in the use of the database.
Job Responsibilities:

- ensure quality control and clean data in donor database Raiser’s Edge
- Ensure the accuracy of the Raiser’s Edge imports compared to source data (ie. cash deposits, stock donations, EFTS, third-party downloads) and review any necessary reconciliations.
- Oversee and manage data entry, upkeep, and reporting
- Oversee and execute regular processes including: gift coding, pledge tracking, donor acknowledgements, and mailing list generation
- Develop the necessary internal controls to ensure the timely identification of errors
- Collaborate with Development and Finance teams on use of databases/systems and establishing policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Development and Finance teams on revenue tracking, preparing quarterly reports for budget meetings and other reports as needed
- Develop short and long term information technology plans to support fundraising efforts and data integrity
- Oversee training of approach staff on Raiser’s Edge
- Prepare and manage all campaign related reports
- Track and manage naming and recognition opportunities in Raiser’s Edge
- Coordinate with IT department for needed support and ensure proper acquaintance of software updates and back-ups
- Create, maintain and improve data transfer systems between Raiser’s Edge, email platforms and volunteer database
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of related experience
- strategic, tactical and operational skills, financial acumen, and demonstrated ability to lead
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Supervisory experience
- Highly proficient with Raiser;s Edge
- Experience with Import-O-Matic is preferred
