[Mount Vernon, New York] – Great Place to Work Institute and its senior care partner Activated Insights have honored Wartburg with certification as a Great Place to Work. The certification process involved surveying 100% of employees from all across Wartburg’s care services and evaluating more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter who they are or what they do.

Recently, Wartburg held an Employee Appreciation luncheon where employees were honored for years of service to Wartburg. There are over 300 employees at Wartburg, providing care and support to hundreds of Seniors and their families. At the Employee Appreciation, 80 employees were recognized for 5, 10, and 25 years of service. Their combined years of service of this group totaling 975 years.
Wartburg employees have also been locally and nationally recognized. Carmen Graham, LPN, a nurse in the Skilled Nursing division of Wartburg Senior Living and Healthcare, was surprised with the hospital’s first-ever international Daisy Award. The Daisy Award recognizes the skillful and compassionate care nurses provide. Virgie Valentin, Director of Nursing, received the Hudson Valley Magazine 2022 Excellence in Nursing Award.
