About Jazz in June
Jazz in June: A Celebration of Art and Music took place on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Surf Club in New Rochelle.
Now in its 7th year, Wartburg’s Jazz in June Gala, our most prestigious annual event, is a celebration of creative aging at Wartburg. This annual benefit is a critical fundraiser for Wartburg and gives us an opportunity to showcase community partnerships and recognize individuals and businesses that have provided noteworthy support.
The evening often features a performer or celebrity who adds a level of distinction to the evening. Past special guests include: News reporter, Cheryl Wills, 4-time Grammy-nominated Jazz Guitarist, Stanley Jordan, “Soprano” star, Dominic Chianese, and lifestyle entertainer and restaurateur, B. Smith. This year’s Special Guest Host was Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, best known for his role as Sonny in A Bronx Tale.
The format for the evening begins with cocktails, dinner/awards and a dessert reception following.
