Lauren Ciuti, Director of Social Work, Accepted into LeadingAge New York’s “Journey to Excellence in Long-Term Care” Program
Wartburg is proud to announce that Lauren Ciuti, Director of Social Work at our Skilled Nursing Facility, has been accepted into LeadingAge New York’s highly anticipated “Journey to Excellence in Long-Term Care” program. This competitive program is designed to enhance leadership and professional skills among Directors of Social Work and Directors of Nursing in long-term care settings across New York State.
Funded by the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, the “Journey to Excellence in Long-Term Care” program provides a valuable opportunity for professionals to engage in a structured, high-impact learning experience. Participants will join one of two exclusive 15-person cohorts and take part in a nine-month curriculum running from March to November 2025.
Throughout the program, Ms. Ciuti will gain advanced insights and training in key areas such as quality assurance, survey procedures, staff supervision, and culturally competent care. Additional focus areas will include fostering inclusive and diverse teams, delivering compassionate services to vulnerable populations, and enhancing overall quality of life for residents.
“We are incredibly proud of Lauren for being selected for this impressive program,” said Bridget Zimmermann, VP of Operations and Administrator at Wartburg. “Her dedication to improving the lives of our residents and commitment to excellence in social work make her an outstanding choice for this opportunity. We are excited to see how this experience will further enhance the care and services provided at our facility.”
“Wartburg is very proud to sponsor Ms. Ciuti into the LeadingAge New York “Journey to Excellence in Long-Term Care” program, said Wartburg’s President Dr. David Gentner.” “Ensuring culturally competent care, enhancing quality of life and services to vulnerable populations are of particular interest to this team and we are looking forward to learning how others across the state are achieving these goals,” said Gentner.
LeadingAge New York’s “Journey to Excellence in Long-Term Care” program exemplifies a commitment to continuous professional development and excellence in skilled nursing and long-term care services.
