2015 Legacy Award Presented to Wartburg by the Westchester County (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated
Mount Vernon, NY, December 23, 2015 – On December 12, 2015 members of the Westchester County (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated presented Wartburg with their prestigious 2015 Legacy Award at the Waltemade Skilled Nursing Facility located on Wartburg’s 34-acre campus in Mount Vernon, NY. As part of the Westchester County (NY) Chapter of The Links 65th anniversary celebration, Wartburg was one of several organizations that were honored for being a community partner that has supported and assisted The Links in providing information, resources and opportunities to Westchester County’s underserved populations.

Dedicated to providing services through friendship, the Westchester County Chapter of The Links has a tradition of spreading holiday cheer by annually bringing warm greetings, heartfelt conversations and comforting gifts to the residents of Wartburg’s Waltemade Skilled Nursing Facility. “There are no words that can describe the smiles displayed on our residents’ faces during these meetings,” exclaimed Ann Frey, Wartburg Director of Volunteers.
