The Institute for Music and Neurologic Function (IMNF), a nationally recognized leader in music and brain health, is proud to provide specialized services for residents of Wartburg Senior Campus and the surrounding community.

Founded by renowned neurologist Dr. Oliver Sacks and music therapy pioneer Dr. Concetta Tomaino, IMNF brings more than 30 years of clinical expertise, research, and innovation to support older adults and individuals living with neurological and cognitive conditions.

Outpatient Music Therapy 

Individual and group music therapy sessions led by board-certified music therapists, supporting cognitive stimulation, physical rehabilitation, speech and language recovery, emotional well-being, and quality of life. Learn more

Wartburg is a certified provider of Music & Memory, a personalized music program that uses favorite songs and meaningful music to enhance mood, stimulate memory, and foster connection for individuals living with dementia and other cognitive challenges. Learn more


Group Wellness Programs 

Community-based programs designed to promote engagement, creativity, and connection through music—including:

One Heart, One Voice: A supportive chorus for individuals living with dementia and their care partners.

Music Therapy for Parkinson’s: A weekly group using rhythm, song, and movement to support mobility and mood.

Music Therapy for Aphasia: A weekly group using music to aid speech recovery and communication.

Healing Music for Veterans with PTSD: A supportive group using music for stress reduction and emotional healing.
