The Future Society and Wartburg have a long standing and well established relationship. Over the years, the two organizations have partnered by holding numerous intergenerational events on Wartburg’s campus bringing together Mount Vernon youth and Wartburg residents and their families – making new friends, sharing stories and celebrating life. During the holidays, Wartburg staff and residents hold a gift drive for the boys and girls of The Future Society, a tradition that continues to grow each year.
According to Rev. Amandus J. Derr, Wartburg’s Board Chair, “Wartburg is very proud to have not only one, but two honorees at The Future Society’s first annual Globe Awards Dinner. We look forward to continuing our rich history of collaboration and partnership with all the children, volunteers and staff at The Future Society.”
