The RN Supervisor provides unit-based staff and clinical oversight to his or her assigned unit and shift. He or she is responsible for providing supervision to all unit staff; direct nursing care to residents; completing comprehensive shift rounds; ensuring communication during intershift report; and assisting with the admission and discharge of residents. The ideal incumbent will possess both strong clinical and managerial skills. A high degree of empathy and interpersonal awareness is critical, as is the ability to take initiative and act in accordance with Wartburg philosophies and standards.
A current RN License is required. 3-5 years previous experience in a sub-acute or longterm care setting is required, as is previous management experience. Preference given to those with management experience in a longterm care setting.
